December 14–20, 2026 gives a Tampa Bay trip or event-planning week several official, map-ready performance options without requiring guesswork from stale calendar listings. This guide uses current organizer pages for a Tuesday comedy-and-live-music night, a Friday Tampa comedy date, Saturday holiday music choices in St. Petersburg and Clearwater, and a Sunday St. Pete matinee. Choose one confirmed anchor, then check the organizer again before leaving for the latest tickets, event status, weather, parking, accessibility, age guidance, bag rules, and schedule changes.
These are public events run by their organizers, not Nably offerings. The event organizer controls tickets, admission, venue rules, and any food or parking arrangements. Nably can help with current gear rentals, event packages, and event services around a separate beach day, group gathering, or hosted moment on your plan.
Map-ready places for December 14–20
Josh Johnson’s Comedy Band Camp is Tuesday, December 15 at 7 PM at The Mahaffey Theater, 400 First St SE, St. Petersburg, FL 33701. Chelsea Handler: The High and Mighty Tour is Friday, December 18 at Tampa Theatre, 711 N Franklin St, Tampa, FL 33602. On Saturday, December 19, choose either Classical Christmas at 7:30 PM at the Mahaffey or Rockapella Christmas at the Nancy and David Bilheimer Capitol Theatre, 405 Cleveland Street, Clearwater, FL 33755, with 7 PM doors and an 8 PM start. A Very Broadway Christmas is Sunday, December 20 at 1 PM at the Mahaffey. These are alternatives and anchors for different days, not an itinerary to rush through all at once.
Tuesday, December 15: Josh Johnson in St. Petersburg
Josh Johnson’s Comedy Band Camp is a confirmed Tuesday 7 PM plan at the Mahaffey. The official event page describes a stand-up and live-music format and directs ticketing through Ticketmaster. The Mahaffey says on-site parking is available from its main entrance at 400 First St SE and recommends arriving early. Recheck the venue’s current ticket and entry information before committing a group.
Friday, December 18: Chelsea Handler in Tampa
Chelsea Handler’s High and Mighty Tour is on Tampa Theatre’s historic stage Friday, December 18. The official page confirms a second show was added; it also publishes ticket pricing and terms that can change, so use the organizer for the current performance time, seat availability, arrival guidance, and any age or bag information. Tampa Theatre lists its address as 711 N Franklin St in downtown Tampa.
Saturday, December 19: compare St. Pete and Clearwater holiday music
Saturday has two confirmed holiday-music choices. Classical Christmas starts at 7:30 PM at the Mahaffey, with The Florida Orchestra, guest artists, Master Chorale of Tampa Bay, and Lumina Youth Choir listed on the official page. Rockapella Christmas is at the Bilheimer Capitol Theatre in Clearwater, with 7 PM doors and an 8 PM start. Choose one based on the group’s preferred city and format, rather than attempting to stack both performances.
Sunday, December 20: A Very Broadway Christmas
A Very Broadway Christmas is a 1 PM Sunday matinee at the Mahaffey. The official venue page describes a holiday theatrical revue with Broadway performers, a live band, dancers, and a Santa appearance. A matinee can be a simpler way to build a St. Petersburg day, but tickets and venue terms are still controlled by the organizer. Recheck the current page before you go.
Plan the time around one confirmed event
Give the public event its own arrival and departure window, especially during the holiday season. For the rest of a vacation or planned gathering, keep the supporting plan flexible: a casual beach setup, a small photo moment, a picnic-style gathering, or a hosted celebration can happen separately from the ticketed event. Avoid assuming admission, parking, food, or activities are included unless the official organizer explicitly says so.
What Nably can help you book around a selected event
Nably does not sell tickets, admission, attraction entry, or outside-event registration for the places in this guide. For a beach day, group gathering, or hosted moment around a selected plan, browse current Nably gear rentals, event packages, and event services. Choose dates and pay to book instantly; after confirmation, coordinate practical pickup, delivery, or setup details with the host. The live listing controls current availability, inclusions, restrictions, and terms.
What to recheck before you go
Check the official organizer for the exact date, start time, ticket or registration status, weather policy, parking, bag rules, accessibility, and age guidance. This guide is specific where an organizer has published details and intentionally leaves unlisted details open rather than guessing.
